WHICH BINDING MACHINE IS BEST FOR YOU?

COIL BINDING - A new method rapidly gaining popularity. Permits laying pages flat or turning the pages 360 degrees (to take less desk space). Provides maximum report durability. Offers a wide choice of standard and custom colors. Binds to 1-1/8". Binding coils come in 12" length (for 11" reports) and 36" (for other sizes). Choose manual or electric punching; manual or electric coil insertion. Reports can be editted (requires a new coil). Coice of 4:1 (4 holes to the inch) or 5:1 (5 holes to the inch) models. 4:1 machines can NOT use 5:1 coils and 5:1 machines can NOT use 4:1 coils.

COMB BINDING - the all time favorite desk top binding system is also the most economical. Permits laying pages flat. Spine can be customized with a report title and/or your company logo. Reports can be editted without destroying the binding comb. Binds to 2". Standard length is 19 rings (11"). Other lengths ae available. Choose manual or electric punching; one or two handle operation for improved productivity' disengagable pins; adjustable margin settings.

WIRE BINDING - available in 2 types. Either use a dedicated twin loop binding machine or use a comb binding machine. If you already own a comb binding machine, you only need buy a wire closer to accommodate 19 ring wire binding strip. You can also purchase comb binding machines with a wire closer included.

TWIN LOOP WIRE BINDING - gives reports and executive look and allows them to lay flat or turn 360 degrees. Editting is more difficult and requires a replacement wire binding strip. Machines are available either in 3:1 (32 holes for 11") OR 2:1 (21 holes for 11"). Binds to 1 1/4". Other lengths are available. Choose manual or electric punching.

VELOBIND - creates the most professional looking reports which are tamper resistant, easy to file and easy to mail. Reports up to 3" can be bound. Requires less binding inventory than other systems. Possible to correct most punching mistakes. Reports can be editted easily (requires new binding strip). Most reports will not lay flat. The 11 prong hot-knife binding system does not have "wide" hump on the binding edge.
